Charge your electric vehicle at home with the BMW charging solutions that are right for you. Use our home charging cables, including the Flexible Fast Charger or the Multifunction Charger, to charge your vehicle at a domestic power socket or at a CEE industrial power socket with a charging power of up to 11 kW. Charge even faster with BMW Wallboxes that provide a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. You can also use bidirectional charging available with your new BMW iX3 and other future BMW models as an energy storage unit, feeding energy from your battery back into your household or the power grid, as needed.³

Choose from a wide range of charging products.
Discover our various charging solutions for your home: from the powerful BMW Wallbox to mobile charging cables, such as the Flexible Fast Charger, Multifunction Charger, and matching adapters.
Discover smart charging features.
BMW offers you a wide range of options to minimise your home charging costs. If your photovoltaic system produces enough solar power, it can be automatically used to charge the new BMW iX3 and other future BMW models.
Bidirectional charging also lets you use your electric vehicle as an energy storage unit and feed energy from the battery back into your household or the electricity grid, reducing the electricity costs in your home. You can also remotely charge your vehicle at the cheapest rate times to save costs. This works in conjunction with an appropriate electricity tariff from a compatible electricity provider.³
One app. All charging functions.
The My BMW App⁴ is your central interface for charging your vehicle. It provides a comprehensive overview of all relevant charging data and keeps you up to date with the status of the vehicle at all times. It also gives you direct control of your Wallbox. Download the app, log in, and discover the full range of charging features.
Professional installation of your wallbox.
Select either the BMW Wallbox Plus or the BMW Wallbox Professional. Qualified technicians will then take care of the complete installation at your home. This saves you time, and your charging accessories will be set up professionally.
Charging accessories for your BMW.
Bidirectional charging with your BMW.
Your new BMW iX3 and other future BMW models can feed energy directly into your home network with Vehicle-to-Home technology (V2H). During the day, this lets you temporarily store excess solar energy in the vehicle, which is then available in the evening, at night or in the morning to supply your household with power. So you remain more independent of the electricity grid even when the sun is not shining.⁶
Your new BMW iX3 and other future BMW models turn into a mobile power source with the Vehicle-to-Load technology (V2L) technology. Use it to power and charge electric bikes, laptops or other electrical equipment. Therefore you can supply your equipment with power even without a local power socket.⁷
Optimised home charging for your electric vehicle.
Remote charging control.
With remote charging control, an energy supplier controls the charging of your BMW electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle and automatically starts charging at times of low power prices. This works with a suitable electricity tariff from a compatible electricity provide⁵.
Solar-optimised charging.
If your photovoltaic system produces enough solar power, it is automatically used to charge your electric-powered BMW. This lets you charge with as much self-generated electricity as possible, saving money and improving your carbon footprint.
Load-optimised charging.
Always charge with the maximum possible power. If other appliances in your household, such as a tumble dryer or an oven, are consuming a lot of power, the BMW Wallbox Plus automatically adjusts its output. This prevents the house circuit from becoming overloaded. At the same time, you always charge with the optimum charging time.
Discover the right charging solution for your home.
Use solar energy effectively with the BMW Wallbox Professional and V2H.
If you have a photovoltaic system and, for instance, your new BMW iX3 is frequently parked at home, the BMW Wallbox Professional with Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) function is the ideal solution. You can fully charge your vehicle with solar energy, temporarily store excess energy, and then use it to power your home. This way, you can use your solar energy efficiently, reduce your charging costs, and lower your household energy costs. You will also save yourself investment in an expensive home battery storage.⁶
Control your charging using the My BMW App.
The My BMW App⁴ is your central interface for charging your vehicle. It shows your current charging status and helps you select the right charging mode. It also displays your charging statistics and history. You can also control your Wallbox directly from the app, so that you have all the key features in a single application.
