CONNECTED DRIVE SERVICES.

ConnectedDrive Services opens the door to the digital world of BMW. Use in-vehicle apps to stay fully up to date at all times regarding the news and weather. There is also an Office tool and an online search function. ConnectedDrive Services is a basic package that is needed when purchasing other digital services.

  • BMW ConnectedDrive Store

    You can now find the full variety of our services and apps online in the BMW ConnectedDrive Store in the customer portal “My BMW ConnectedDrive”. Book services that are available individually for your vehicle, for example Online Entertainment, practical Concierge Services or, with Real Time Traffic Information, your personal traffic scout. You will also find many further features and functions such as BMW Online, Internet, Remote Services as well as all BMW Apps ready applications such as Napster, Audible or Deezer.
    When and for how long you would like to use the BMW ConnectedDrive services and apps is up to you: you can select the duration of each service, with options ranging from one month to up to three years.

  • Preparation for Apple CarPlay®

    Why go without the features of your iPhone in your BMW when you can continue operating it as usual? The preparation for Apple CarPlay® gives you remote access to telephony as well as apps like iMessage, WhatsApp, TuneIn, Spotify and Apple Music. You can also use the voice button on the steering wheel to access Siri, Apple’s voice assistant.

  • Microsoft Office 365

    Work productively on the commute. Thanks to perfect integration of Microsoft Office 365 in the vehicle, emails, contacts and calendar entries are continuously synchronised with other devices and can be edited directly – even without a smartphone. Plus, Skype for Business conference calls can be automatically joined with just one click.

BMW CONNECTED.

Connect with your BMW. The BMW Connected app is your digital mobility assistant which takes care of your needs before and during your journey. Access your car using your smartphone, smartwatch or Amazon Echo, send destinations to the navigation system or receive reminders for meetings to make sure you arrive there on time.

BMW M LAPTIMER APP.

With the BMW M laptimer app, driving data from the racetrack can be accurately recorded, bend by bend, and then analysed with the aim of improving driving performance. The app uses BMW sensors to collect detailed data from the vehicle and shows selected results in the Control Display. The system is operated via the iDrive Controller. The BMW M laptimer also incorporates an interface for GoPro cameras.


While it is recording, the BMW M laptimer app shows the GPS position, speed, forward acceleration, lateral acceleration (G-force), lap times and acceleration up to a certain speed (e.g. from 0 to 100 km/h). Depending on the vehicle equipment and model year, factors measured may also include the accelerator position, steering angle, deceleration, rpms and gear, as well as fuel consumption.


The recorded information can be shared as a snapshot on social media while the data saved can be sent via email.

CONCIERGE SERVICES.

For anyone who has ever wanted to know what it is like to have their own personal butler, here is the chance: with Concierge Services from BMW ConnectedDrive. At the push of a button the driver is connected with a BMW Call Centre agent who acts as their "personal assistant" on the road.
From a particular restaurant to the nearest cash dispenser or an emergency pharmacy – the BMW Call Centre agent is there to help and can even send information directly to the navigation system. Concierge Services operate independently of the driver's mobile phone and are available in their home country and abroad, around-the-clock, seven days a week and at no extra cost.

ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT.

The perfect song for every situation, every road and every mood. Online Entertainment offers direct and unlimited access to more than 22 million music titles inside the BMW – all without a smartphone or other device. There are plenty of tracks here to suit every taste. As soon as an artist's song or album is played in the car, it is automatically downloaded to the car's hard disc. For guaranteed listening enjoyment without any interruptions.
With the Online Entertainment offer, a flat-rate account lasting one year can be opened with any BMW music partner, for example with Napster, which can be used in six different European countries at no additional cost: Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

REAL TIME TRAFFIC INFORMATION.

Why waste time in traffic jams? Real Time Traffic Information lets you reach your destination faster and more effectively. It monitors the current traffic situation virtually in real-time and calculates alternative routes. The local hazard warning system is an additional feature that alerts you to adverse road conditions or accidents.

REMOTE SERVICES.

With the Remote Services of the BMW Connected App (available in the Apple App Store), various vehicle-related functions, such as locking and unlocking the car, can be operated remotely.

Just as the BMW ConnectedDrive customer portal, the app also offers the opportunity to access vehicle information such as range or the status of the windows and doors. That way the driver is always fully informed about the status of the vehicle, even from a distance, and also has all information conveniently gathered together at one glance.

This information package is rounded out with the display of the vehicle’s current location. To use this feature, customers simply need to activate Remote Services once in the BMW ConnectedDrive customer portal at www.bmw-connecteddrive.com.

INTELLIGENT EMERGENCY CALL.

The Intelligent Emergency Call guarantees fast, targeted assistance round-the-clock as well as support from trained staff – in the driver's native language, even when they're abroad. If an accident takes place involving the activation of an airbag or the belt tensioners, an Intelligent Emergency Call is automatically issued.

Relevant details such as the exact position of the car, the severity of the accident and the possible risk of injury to occupants are transmitted to the BMW Call Centre via the car’s built-in SIM card, i.e. independent of a private mobile phone. The BMW Call Centre will inform the nearest rescue coordination centre and provide assistance over the phone until the rescue services arrive. The emergency call can also be triggered manually in case other road users require help, for example.
